It is  a free concert with donations going to the Weekend Backpacks program of which David has been a strong supporter.   It will be a great evening of music with teachers, parents, students and community musicians participating. A reception will follow the program. Come out and enjoy a fun evening and support hunger relief in Brown County.

On Sunday we will hear of Lydia — the seller of purple and the first Christian in Europe.  She lived in Philippi, part of the church to whom Paul later wrote:

Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, “Rejoice!. Let our gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near . Do not worry about anything, but in everyone by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guide your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

With joy and thanksgiving for all of you —

Praise Party- April 16 noon-2 p.m.

davy poster-page-001

Life is not easy and we often find ourselves in situations where we have to make difficult decisions. This Western-themed  event is based on 1 Samuel 17-31- a series of difficult times in David’s life. The emphasis is on dealing with these “showdowns” – confrontations – as God would have us do. Violence is a significant part of our world, and many children live in constant fear. Some are tempted to flee, and some to respond in kind. David presents us with godly responses to trouble- courageous, trusting God, and merciful towards his foes.

This free program features stories and games and a cowboy-style lunch.
